First Ride of 2022! Herradura-Parrita-Herradura Metric Century

Resumen:

??La primera rodada oficial del 2022! Nos tardamos un poco, pues participamos en el Gran Fondo Andrey Amador, pero estamos de vuelta!

En esta edición vamos a rodar con algunos de nuestros amigos de Ticotlón!

100 Kilómetros planitos! Vamos a rodar sobre la Costanera Sur, una ruta muy famosa para fondos, sobre todo para triatlonistas, pues es plana: sólo 375 metros de desnivel positivo.

Eso sí, deben procurar llevar luz trasera, pues si puede haber tráfico automotor a mayor velocidad de lo que estamos acostumbrados.

Summary:

?? Join us for our first ride of 2022! We’ve been a little busy training for the Gran Fondo Andrey Amador, but now that it’s behind us, we are back!

On this occasion we’re riding with some of our friends from Ticotlón!

We will do a Metric Century; 100km, along the Pacific Coastline, ocean views included! (at least for some of the ride). The ride is well known for triathletes since it is flat. (relatively speaking for Costa Rican standards!) Only 375 meters of climbing in 100k.

Use of rear light is obligatory: we will share the ride with motor vehicles traveling at higher speeds than we are used to when we ride in the mountains.
